A great place to start a home improvement project is in the kitchen. Kitchen Cabinets are usually the focal point of a kitchen. As they surround your eating and cooking area your eyes run into them everywhere you look. If your home is aging or if you had cheaply installed cabinets in the first place, replacing them might be a great way to add eye appeal as well as value. The cost of a brand new set is going to run you north of $5,000 at a minimum, but should last you another 20 to 30 years. Don’t go with a cheap set because they will wear quickly and look bad in a short while. Along with the cabinets, if you can afford it, new countertops would be a great upgrade at the same time. You can have the same contractor spec all the work out for you. It may take some time so plan accordingly.
